Engineered for Safety
Yale has a great history for offering safe lift trucks that are suitable for a range of uses. The ability to produce and engineer models for improved safety comes from the new technology that is available in the material handling business and the company's experience.
In their latest designs, Yale has started integrating newly available technologies. Some of the new technologies that are available are first applied to forklift trucks and after that proven further through durability testing and functionality. The company conducts many reliability development and controlled field tests so as to ensure their products are really safe.
So as to improve overall safety, Yale has designed and developed many new features, that have been incorporated on a lot of models such as:
Operator Compartment Controls and Ergonomics
The ergonomics in the operator compartment as well as the controls are made with state-of-the-art technology. These designs help to ensure that the operator avoids exhaustion as well as heavy repetitive motions. These added comforts help to increase overall production.
Adjustable Operators Compartment and Controls
Adjustable operator controls enable the operators to choose the positioning of their necessary controls. This helps make the equipment user friendly, regardless of who is operating it. Before starting their shift, the operator can make sure he or she is as comfortable as possible.
Operator Presence System
Yale's hydraulic system operation referred to as the Operator Presence System prevents the operation of the equipment if the operator is not in the right operating position. This presence system also disables directional travel on IC engine truck units.
Swing-Out LPG Tank Bracket
The liquid propane gas tank has a drop down design which brings it out from the vehicle's center to the operator's natural handling position that makes it far easier to change.
