JLG Telehandlers Arizona
John L. Grove chose to stop working after spending many years working together with his brother to be able to establish their crane construction business into a world leader. His wife Cora as well as John celebrated their retirement by going on a cross-country trip in their R.V. After that particular journey, JLG Industries, Inc. emerged and became the world's leading producer of mobile aerial work platforms and specialized material handling machines.
During the R.V. journey, John spent much of the time talking to prior business associates that the Groves stopped to visit along their journey. While they visited the Hoover Dam, tragically, 2 workers were accidentally electrocuted on scaffolding. Through subsequent conversations, John saw a huge untapped market for a equipment which can safely and quickly raise people into the air to be able to carry out construction and maintenance functions.
John decided to take action when John and his wife returned from the journey. He started a partnership with two dear friends when they purchased a small metal manufacturing business within McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania. During 1970, with an original team of 20 staff, the trio built and sold the first JLG aerial work platform. Numerous components of the basic design elements of that original machinery are still being incorporated into the present machinery
The company has come a really long way since John L. Grove drove back into town from his cross-country trip and have grown significantly since they debuted their first aerial work platform. Even nowadays, JLG continues to expand into additional global markets. Many innovative machines are designed to help clients work safer and be more productive.
JLG has remained dedicated to being at the forefront of the industry. The company takes operator comfort into account very seriously. They strive to deliver in safety and overall comfort, as well as in performance so that the operator could be as productive as possible.
