Utilize a Pneumatic Forklift
You can often find pneumatic forklifts in shipping and warehouse operations. Also known as pump trucks or pallet trucks, they are used in order to move things and supplies around on wooden pallets utilizing metal forks mounted on a wheeled counterweight. The counterweight contains a pump which could raise the forks off the ground. A pallet truck is designed to be operated by one individual.
Pallet trucks should be operated carefully in order to prevent loss of control while raising heavy loads. Equipment should be inspected before operating. Clear the wheels area of any obstacle. Make sure that the handle turns smoothly. The pallet must be stacked carefully to ensure that nothing would fall off during transportation.
On the end of the pallet truck's handle, squeeze the level found on the inside of the metal loop to lower the forks and release the air in the pump. The forks can then be pushed into the slots of the pallet. The forks should be centered to ensure even distribution of the pallet's weight across them. Lift the forks from the ground by pumping the pneumatic lift's handle until the pallet has fully cleared the ground. Do not raise the pallet too high or the forklift can unbalance.
Pull on the handle and drag it behind you if you want to move the pallet. It is really not safe to push the pallet ahead of you because the thrust can cause it to lose control. Slowly take turns and don't try to stop suddenly. Gradually come to a stop, squeeze the lever, and the forks will lower to the ground. Lastly, remove the forks from the pallet by pulling them out. Return the pallet truck to its permanent place.
